Geocaching in Waterton

Geocaching is a real-world treasure hunt using GPS devices to locate hidden treasures scattered throughout our world. Participants can download specific coordinates from the internet or other players GPS maps. Participants then attempt to locate the treasures (Geocaches) hidden at the specified location. Participants can also create their own Geocache locations and upload the coordinates to the internet for other players to find and enjoy.

Geocaching

Geocaches are the containers in which the participants are searching for. Geocaches typically have a log book for your group to sign, showing your successful completion of the specific Geocache and some players choose to leave small trinkets in the containers as well./

Geocaching can be enjoyed by all ages and is a great family activity to go explore the outdoors for a day or weekend.
